Fifty Shades of Grey aka Fifty Shades of Confusion lol

I wasn't gonna be one of those people to defend this silly movie but I'm seeing so many articles all over the internet from blogs and other sites and I find these people so clueless. I'm over here like... "wow who ever wrote these 1. didn't read any of the books, 2. takes life way too seriously". But then again that's how I feel with rap music these days, and what it does to the new generation. lol I THINK PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T READ THE BOOKS SHOULDN'T WATCH THE MOVIE. YOU ARE GOING TO FREAK! I mean it. Lol You will also think that it's the worst ending ever. If your reason for seeing this movie is thinking that you're a freak and this is your kind of movie, you're wrong. Unless you've read all the books, you won't realize that the story is nowhere even close to being about BDSM at all. On the second and third books, no "harmful toys" we're even used and if anything, the girl was the one in control. I personally like Christian Greys story specially how it's thoroughly explained in the second book. He was a creep, a stalker, a control freak. He was heartless and violent. At the same time, he was also someone who was saved from starvation, abuse and from his crackhead mom when he was a little kid. Again abused by his adopted moms friend when he was a teenager. He's all kinds of fucked up. His character in the first book/movie was so unrealistic but in the second and third books, his character was most of us. Abused, traumatized, hurt, lonely, hungry, lost. He turned his life around and became really successful. He secretly wanted to end world hunger. At the same time, he's still 50 shades of fucked up that he couldn't get away from. I love that the story tells us that when you experience "true love" people can finally open their eyes and see things different and change for the better. Love let him experience things that he never knew existed. Love made him weak but happy at the same time. Love let him experience that it was more satisfying when you lose a little bit of control, when both people are happy rather than just one person completely dominating the other.

NYX Macaron Lippies

This is a new collection from Nyx. I'm not sure if this is a permanent line. Nyx lipsticks are amazing in general. They always had great color pay off with very creamy texture. I love that a cheaper cosmetics line came out with these colorful lipsticks. They are definitely not everyday shades of lipsticks but they're so much fun. My favorites from the collection are the blue velvet, purple and pistachio. The only one I didn't get was the coconut. Here are the swatches showing the amazing pigmentation of these lipsticks.

NYX Matte Lipsticks

I was excited to try these because I love matte lipsticks. Something about them that makes a girl look classy and mysterious. The NYX matte lipsticks are so pigmented and they leave a true matte finish. I always apply my Burt's Bees chapstick before I put on any lipsticks. Sometimes my lips still gets dry but these NYX matte lipstick did not do that. They feel creamy when you apply them and they are easy to blend except for "Butter".

Melt Lipsticks

I can't even explain how much I love these lipsticks. I've always wanted to get them but they were always sold out. They retail for $19 each. It's pretty expensive but they are totally worth the price. I love these rad colors and the pigmentation is just exceptional. Definitely a must have. They are ultra matte so I would suggest really moisturizing your lips before putting these babies on. They also have a very slight waxy scent.

DGAF, Blow, By Starlight, Space Cake, Shady Lady

These are what they look like on my lips. Sorry, some of the pics aren't good quality.

Flower cosmetics by Drew Barrymore

Lets be honest here, the main reason I got interested on these products is because I love Drew. I picked up some products from Flower cosmetics and I got them at Walmart. Flower cosmetics takes pride on their products containing luxury ingredients, being made in the US and not being tested on animals. The packaging is very cute. I love the white with rose gold details. Price is pretty average for a drug store makeup. Here are the products that I bought.
Face products:
I'm not really in to foundations. I mainly use powder (L'oreal True Match Mineral) but I'm always open to trying liquid foundation. I have never found a perfect match when it comes to the shade. I also don't need a lot of coverage anyways. This Flower foundation is actually a perfect match with my skin tone. It applies very smoothly and the coverage is about medium to full so I don't really have to apply too much. It also leaves an airbrush finish and the blush stayed on all day. The only con is that it makes my T zone a little bit oily. I tried both the Flower loose powder and the L'oreal True Match Mineral powder on top of it and still did the same thing. It just needs touching up on the T zone every few hours, not a big deal.
The blush/bronzer combo is one of my favorites. The one I got is called Shimmering Goddess. It's matte (no shimmer at all) and very pigmented. It will literally last you a life time.

Lip products:
As expected from Drew, who always have gorgeous lips, her lipsticks and lip crayons are amazing. I only got the matte ones. Even though they leave a true matte finish, they don't make your lips dry and they still feel creamy.
top: Mauve Over, Berry-more, Red-dy To Bloom
bottom: Tea Rose, Tender Tuberose

Nails:
Beige Beauty - I only bought 1 Flower nail polish. I wasn't going to get one because I don't really need anymore nail polish but I saw one that was a very uncommon shade. I don't have anything like it. Its not yellow, its not khaki, kind of in between sand and camel color. Sadly, the formula is really bad. I have tons of nail polish, even 50 cents ones and I have to say that this is one or the worse nail polish I have ever tried. I had to put on at least 5 coats to get a decent opacity and still was streaky. By the time I put my top coat, the polish was already too thick on my nails so it didn't really look great. Maybe its just the shade that I bought. Maybe the other shades have better formula.
